The city of Ridder is one of the major industrial regions of the East Kazakhstan region. As of 01.07.2022, the population of the Ridder region was 54815 people, of which 51604 people live in the city, 3211 people live in the village. By the beginning of 2022 (55112 people), the population decreased by 297 people or 0.5% as a result of a negative migration balance of 117 people and a natural population loss of 180 people.
