Excursion to the ancient sanctuary Akbauyr

The staff of the Department of architecture, construction and urban planning of the East Kazakhstan region visited the ancient sanctuary "Akbauyr", an ancient archaeological monument.

The purpose of the trip started to support action in the framework of the program "Rouhani gear" regional Department of the Agency for civil service Affairs, the development and strengthening of continuity of generations, as well as the study of the cultural heritage of his native land.

The historical and archaeological complex "AK bauyr" is a unique monument of nature, history and archeology. On its territory there are many petroglyphs of different epochs, burial grounds of the bronze age, iron age barrows, including rare archaeological complexes - barrows with moustaches, burials dated to the early middle ages.

A special place is occupied by a grotto with rock paintings made in red ochre and dated V-III thousand. Unique natural factors caused the sacredness of the territory, where not only complex rites of the seasonal calendar cycle and funeral and memorial rituals were held, but also astronomical observations of the sun, sun and stars, and the points of the equinox and solstice were recorded.
