Fires cause significant damage, spreading over large areas, turning into forest-steppe fires and diverting a significant amount of firefighting forces and means to liquidation. Thus, we must leave settlements without fire protection, creating a threat to agricultural land.
The main reason for the occurrence of natural fires has long been well known: most cases are associated with human actions. Inattention, negligence and lack of culture are to blame. A thrown cigarette butt, an unquenched fire - all this leads to fire and serious consequences. The only measure to prevent natural fires is to comply with fire safety regulations.
In order to avoid the occurrence of natural fires and prevent the destruction of material assets, the following basic rules must be observed:
- people should not allow the making of bonfires in the summer in the conditions of stable dry, hot and windy weather in rural settlements and enterprises, summer cottages, garden plots;
- do not burn garbage in windy weather;
- people must be promptly cleaned of combustible waste, garbage, fallen leaves, dry grass, etc., of the territory of settlements and organizations within the limits of the separation of fire distances between buildings, structures and open warehouses, as well as areas adjacent to residential buildings, cottages and other buildings;
- Conduct conversations with children about the need for safe behavior when handling fire;
- Carefully extinguish cigarette butts and matches.
If you become an eyewitness of a forest fire, sunbathing, do not be indifferent, immediately inform the fire service - “101”.
Remember that not only our nature, but also the safety of people, their health and life, depend on your actions to prevent fires!
