A republican preventive measure “conditionally convicted” is being held in eastern Kazakhstan

Unfortunately, among us there are many citizens who make mistakes in life and are punished.

 

The purpose of the probation service is to take control of convicts to punishments not related to isolation from society, improve their psychological understanding, adapt to this society and not get on the negative path in the future. In order to prevent and suppress repeated crimes among those sentenced to punishments not related to isolation from society, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the period from June 15 to 25 of the current year conducts a preventive measure “conditionally convicted” in the region.

In particular, due to the probation department № 2 of the Kurchum region, 18 people were sentenced to punishment, not related to isolation from society. In order to prevent repeated crimes by these convicts, local police officers of the Markakol police department of the Kurchum district police department of the East Kazakhstan region, together with district inspectors, conduct a check of the convicts' place of residence and conversations with close relatives that could influence the convicts.

In addition, during a community check of convicts registered with Probation Service № 2 of the Kurchum District who are not connected with isolation from society, in the event of any administrative offenses or violations of the duties established by the court, a penalty is imposed by the probation officer. In particular, convicts may be deprived of their punishment, not related to isolation from society, to imprisonment or probation.
