Currently, a large number of ads have appeared on social networks, in which Kazakhstanis, for a certain fee, by requesting personal data, are offered to help get an EDS online. Also, some enterprising citizens take advantage of the situation and propose to apply for a social benefit associated with the loss of income during the quarantine, asking a citizen for an IIN, EDS, bank card details and even a pin code from her.
The government recommends citizens to Kazakhstanis to refrain from seeking such services.
It is necessary to understand that by providing strangers with their data, including EDS, citizens themselves pose a threat to their personal data and property. In addition, the payments they are counting on can be stolen with their own help.
Attackers, having seized the EDS and password to it, will have full access to the personal data of the egov.kz user. Moreover, they will be able to register a business in his name for dubious transactions, register strangers on his living space, and even re-register a car. Having received a PIN code from a bank card, attackers can cash out all the funds on it.
The government for citizens informs that Kazakhstanis can get free and safe assistance on all issues of online public services, incl. EDS and registration of social security, in the Unified Contact Center 1414. The call is free. Currently, more than 1800 employees of the PSC are involved in its work.
In addition, a group “eGov help” was created on the Facebook social network, which brought together many volunteers from among ordinary network users, IT specialists and employees of the public service center. All of them are active users of the egov.kz portal, who receive government services without leaving their homes, and in difficult times for the country are ready to help the same citizens learn how to use the e-government portal. At the same time, volunteers do not require citizens to provide their personal data, but only help to get public services by answering questions and giving useful recommendations.
In the event that a citizen nevertheless used the services of paid dubious "assistants" and transferred his data, the Government for citizens strongly recommends that citizens change the password of the electronic digital signature through their personal account on the pki.gov.kz website or withdraw it altogether.
