The probation service is being updated

Of great importance is the organization of serving sentences by convicts without isolation from society. Without isolating them from society, as stated in Article 40 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, convicts have a positive form of punishment without deprivation of liberty, including community service, punishment in the form of corrective labor, punishment in the form of restriction of freedom, probation, deferral of serving punishment and deprivation of a certain position or a special position of convicted pregnant women and women with young children.
In addition, at present, special attention is paid to the provision of social assistance to convicts. Currently, they are provided with both paid services and training programs in free courses. For convicts serving sentences at large, i.e. those registered with the probation service, employees of the district department of employment and social programs express their advice, opinion about the profession, help them find a job in a paid job, prepare documents for free and accelerated training courses, in in accordance with the work plan for 2021, work is actively carried out on employment and assistance.
For 10 months of 2021, 81 convicts who are on probation records № 1, 2 of the Kurchum district received various social assistance (2 convicts completed free training courses, 2 convicts were employed according to the quota established by the district akimat for 2021.
And the significance of the probation service is to bring them back into society, to provide them with social legal assistance. In this direction, probation officers are making efforts to conscientiously fulfill the tasks assigned to them, since their work is aimed at shaping the future of convicts serving sentences. Of course, the burden of responsibility of such a duty is not light. At the same time, probation officers continue to work actively and conscientiously to form a positive attitude towards their future while serving their sentence.
