The quality of receiving equipment, which receivers Kazakhstanis prefer
The face of the broadcasting industry is changing rapidly. The traditional model of broadcasting a strictly defined set of TV programs is being replaced by consumer orientation. Each client, in accordance with his personal preferences, chooses exactly what he needs from a wide range of information resources.
Today, residents of Kazakhstan actively use cable, digital, satellite, Internet television. It should be noted that some of the satellite dishes used by Kazakhstanis are illegal, as they provide illegal access to the programs of foreign satellite platforms. They create unhealthy competition, putting the information security of the country as a whole at risk, since their content is not regulated by law.
According to Article 24 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Licensing", the provision of services for the organization of television and (or) radio broadcasting on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan is a licensed type of activity. However, despite this, entrepreneurs, through commercial newspapers and the Internet, offer to connect to the services of various operators: Raduga, Yamal, Telekarta, Tricolor, NTV+ and others. This situation gives rise to a number of violations of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The use of such "plates" is not at all beneficial to consumers, since if there are problems with the equipment of foreign operators, then you will need to contact the representative office of this operator, located on the territory of his country. There is also a violation of advertising legislation when foreign operators broadcast advertisements for prohibited goods and services.
It should be noted that over the recent years of active introduction of digital broadcasting, most families in our country have full access to a wide range of Kazakhstani TV channels, without a subscription fee and in excellent quality. The digital signal is resistant to interference and is transmitted to viewers in its original form, without noise and distortion, even to the most remote settlements.
Kazakhstanis can watch up to 30 channels in the regional centers and cities of Nur-Sultan, Almaty, Shymkent, and up to 15 TV channels in the settlements of the regions. TV channels are provided for different ones, with broadcasting in the state and Russian languages. To watch high-quality TV, you do not have to change TVs, as a rule, they support the DVB-T2 standard, which receives a digital signal. All you need is an ordinary decimeter antenna, and if the TV does not support the DVB-T2 standard, you will need a digital receiver.
The development of digital television broadcasting will increase the number of available programs, introduce interactive broadcasting, and provide additional services to the population. It will also help ensure guaranteed equal access of the entire population of the country to information resources, improve the quality of the image and sound of television programs.
By 2022, it is planned to ensure coverage of at least 95% of the population of the Republic of Kazakhstan with digital terrestrial television.
