A person is used to seeing the danger of a fire from open sources of fire: a fire, an unextinguished cigarette butt, and so on, but he still does not attach importance to the fact that he is surrounded by so many dangerous electrical appliances - possible sources of ignition. It is not surprising that some fires occur due to forgetfulness and carelessness.
Statistics show that the largest number of fires occur in the residential sector and the residents themselves are the culprits of this misfortune.
A fire can occur from a radio, TV, tape recorder, electric iron, electric fireplace that is not turned off.
In order to ensure the fire safety of residential buildings, apartments, outbuildings, individual garages and other residential areas, it is necessary to remember:
- electrical equipment and electrical appliances in the house must be kept in good condition;
- Electric hotplates and other heating devices must only be used on a fire-resistant base, i.e. be installed on a ceramic, metal or asbestos-cement stand;
- it is impossible to allow the installation of heating devices close to easily flammable objects or put them directly on wooden tables, stands;
- when using electric heating devices, it is unacceptable to leave them unattended or entrust children with supervision;
- when leaving the premises or at night, the heating devices must be turned off.
An unplugged, left unattended appliance can cause a fire in the room.
