Foreign Media Familiarized Themselves with Kazakhstan’s Experience in Providing Public Services
As part of the international IT forum Digital Bridge 2025, the State Corporation “Government for Citizens” organized a press tour for journalists from near and far abroad. At the Public Service Center in Astana, guests explored Kazakhstan’s experience in providing government services and assessed the implemented digital solutions.
The State Corporation “Government for Citizens” provided the guests with detailed information about the work of the service department and presented modern solutions implemented for the convenience of citizens.
Journalists were shown the “Public Service Centers” mobile application and the processes of providing government services under the “one-stop-shop” principle. Foreign guests noted the high level of automation, user-friendly interfaces, and fast service delivery.
“Today, over 90% of government services are available electronically. This is a significant result of digital transformation, confirming the effectiveness of the steps taken and the sustainable development of digitalization in Kazakhstan. We will continue to implement innovative solutions and improve processes to ensure services meet modern requirements and citizens’ expectations,” emphasized Arman Kenzhegaliev, Chairman of the Board of the State Corporation “Government for Citizens.”
The innovative services of the mobile application also attracted great interest: video calls for consultations, an online calculator for social benefits, vehicle history checks, and the ability to conclude vehicle sale and purchase agreements directly from a smartphone.
Special attention was drawn to the document terminals, which allow citizens to apply for a passport or ID card within minutes.
Delegations were also introduced to the self-service area, equipped with computers with internet access. Here, citizens without special equipment can independently obtain services electronically without the participation of State Corporation staff.
At the end of the visit, foreign media highly praised the organization of the Public Service Centers and emphasized that Kazakhstan’s experience could serve as an example for other countries in the field of digitalization of government services.
It is worth noting that the press tour was held as part of the coverage of the international technology forum Digital Bridge 2025, which was attended by journalists from South Korea, Thailand, China, Malaysia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, and Belarus.
