First ID Cards Issued as Part of #ATAZAN_AZAMAT_KZ Challenge in Ust-Kamenogorsk Public Service Centers

In the lead-up to Constitution Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan, ceremonial events were held at the Public Service Centers (PSCs) in Ust-Kamenogorsk, where newly turned 16-year-old citizens received their first national ID cards. The events were organized as part of the nationwide challenge #ATAZAN_AZAMAT_KZ. Young citizens were presented with their first official documents in a festive atmosphere, along with small commemorative gifts. The challenge was initiated in honor of this important national holiday and aims to highlight the role of each citizen in building a strong and law-based state. Special attention is given to the youth, who are just entering civic maturity. Receiving their first ID card marks the official recognition of their legal status and the beginning of their active participation in public life. According to the East Kazakhstan branch of the “Government for Citizens” Corporation, such events will be held across the country and will contribute to the patriotic education of the younger generation. To obtain an ID card at the age of 16, applicants must visit any PSC with a parent or legal guardian, provide a birth certificate, the parent's ID, and pay the state duty fee (0.2 MCI).
