The Adal KÓMEK volunteer project launched by the anti-Corruption service is being implemented in Katon-Karagai district

During the meeting on the fight against corruption on August 19 this year, the Head of State noted that the dialogue between the state apparatus and citizens allows us to identify problematic areas that cause corruption risks and the protest mood of society.

To resolve everyday issues and build a constructive dialogue, the population needs to have minimal knowledge of their own rights and be savvy in the economic or technical sphere.

In this regard, the Agency, together with an expert on human rights, a member of the National Council of public trust under the President Ayman Umarova, has been running the volunteer project «ADAL KÓMEK» within the framework of the «year of the volunteer» since the beginning of the year.

The main goal of the project is to improve the legal literacy of citizens, as well as to provide legal assistance to socially vulnerable segments of the population in solving vital issues.

Practice has shown that people with disabilities are the least protected in legal terms due to the lack of necessary services for quality service.

Taking into account this vital need of individual representatives of the population, within the framework of the project  «ADAL KÓMEK», a legal consultation in sign language was launched with the invitation of a specialist in sign language translation.

This measure allowed persons with disabilities to protect themselves from illegal actions and protect their rights under the legislation of the republic of kazakhstan independently or with the assistance of a qualified lawyer.

This approach is the embodiment of the idea of a "Hearing State" and a further step to increase the sensitivity of the state apparatus to the needs of all categories of citizens.

Consultations are held on a weekly basis in the design office of «Katonqaragai - Adaldyq Alany». In December of this year, 4 live broadcasts were held.
