About the construction of the Hematology Center of the East Kazakhstan region

The construction of the only hematology center in the country is being completed in Ust-Kamenogorsk. This major project is designed to bring to a higher level the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the blood system and cardio-vascular system, which will significantly improve the quality of medical care in the country. The construction of a hematology center continues in the regional center.

The high-tech multidisciplinary medical center will work in several directions: these are hematology, cardiac surgery and somatic diseases.

The facility will include several buildings. The main building will house a day hospital for chemotherapy, a children's hospital, a somatics department, an adult hematology department, cardiology and cardiac surgery departments, as well as a bone marrow transplantation department, in addition, a consultative and diagnostic department will work. All construction and installation works are carried out in accordance with the schedule of production works. The commissioning of the center is planned to be carried out in the 4th quarter of 2024.

To date, the performance of construction and installation works is 73%. The implementation of such a large-scale project will help significantly reduce mortality from hemablastoses, as well as introduce a pediatric hematology service.
