The Department of religious Affairs of East Kazakhstan region held an IT training seminar

On October 20, 2020,the Department of religious Affairs conducted an IT training seminar on "New approaches to organizing awareness – raising and rehabilitation work in the religious sphere"for managers, specialists of the internal policy departments of cities and districts of the region, specialists of the theological service of the DOPS, and imams of the SAMK.
The main purpose of the seminar was to train religious specialists in the skills of targeted work with risk groups among the population, which are most affected by destructive religious ideas due to circumstances, as well as to familiarize them with the forms and methods of working in online and offline modes in the context of quarantine measures related to the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
The theologians of the Republican level – Chinguzhaev Rauan Jumabaiuly and Isahan Muhan Baimuratuly, as well as experts of LLP "Center for the study of religions problems of the East Kazakhstan region" familiarized the participants with new approaches in the organization's outreach in the problem environment, population, and also forms and methods of remote operation.
The organization of a training seminar is important for specialists in the field of religion to increase the effectiveness of preventive work to counter the spread of the ideology of religious extremism and terrorism.
