Results of Regional IT Festival “New Generation” for students of schools, colleges, universities
On May 16, 2025, Ust-Kamenogorsk city hosted the Regional IT Festival “New Generation”. The event took place at the East Kazakhstan Regional Philharmonic Hall and was held for school, college and university students.
The Festival presented the exhibition of innovative technologies in education and served as a platform for participants to share their experiences in developing IT projects.
The participants of the exhibition presented their projects in 4 sectors – “Maker Fest”, “Junior Skills”, “Robotime”, “ClusterPro”.
As part of the Year of Skilled Trades Program, an Atlas of new skilled trades was presented for implementing the Bolashak Mamandary Roadmap in six districts: Glubokoe, Katon-Karagai, Samar, Tarbagatai, Ulan and Shemonaikha districts.
In the opening ceremony, Innesa Chernysheva, Head of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region, welcomed the participants of the exhibition.
The winners of the Regional Championship “SKILLS FOR GEEKS 2025” were awarded by I.A. Chernysheva, Head of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region.
III place went to the team of Altai district in the 10+ category and in the 14+ category. The students received bronze medals, cups and valuable prizes - smart watches.
II place went to the team of Ridder town in the 10+ category and in the 14+ category. The students received silver medals, cups and valuable prizes - headphones.
The winners of the Championship are the team of Ust-Kamenogorsk city in the 10+ category and the team of Glubokoe district in the 14+ category. The students received gold medals and valuable prizes - smart speakers.
As part of the exhibition, an award ceremony was held for the winners of the Regional Hackathon “ŞYĞYS ÖRKENІ 2025” for educators of the region.
E.B. Mukazhanov, Vice-Rector for Economic Affairs and Digitalization of Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University presented the awards.
III place went to the team “Favorite” of Samar district. The students received diplomas and valuable prizes - power banks.
II place went to the team “ULKEN NARYN” of Ulken Naryn district. The students received diplomas and valuable prizes - graphic tablets.
I place went to the team “PUZZLE” of Kurchum district. The students received diplomas, valuable prizes - document cameras.
In the nomination “Creative Solution”, the winner is - the team “OSShLMFI” of Regional Specialized School for Gifted Children in Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science. The students received valuable prizes - portable speakers.
G.S. Zhumanova, Director of the East Kazakhstan regional branch of Orleu National Centre for Professional Development JSC Institute for Professional Development of Educators awarded the educators - the winners of “IT-Ustaz Award 2025”.
III place went to Gulmira S. Esheyeva, a teacher of Abai Secondary School of Tarbagatai district, who recieved wireless headphones.
II place went to Gaukhar E. Nurgaliyeva, a teacher of Secondary School No. 7 of Ust-Kamenogorsk city, who received a laptop.
And the winner of the competition “IT-Ustaz Award 2025” is Nazerke N. Myrzakhmetova, a teacher of Oralkhan Bokey Lyceum No. 44 of Ust-Kamenogorsk city, who received a valuable prize - a monoblock.
According to the results of the Festival, independent experts selected the Best IT Projects, whole the Audience Choice Award was determined via online voting by festival visitors.
S.N. Kovalenko, Director of Örken East Kazakhstan Regional Scientific and Methodological Center for Informatization and Education Development of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region, solemnly presented diplomas and certificates for valuable prizes to the winners of the Festival.
The winners of the competition:
Grand Prix – Smart Farm Project by Rysbek Ernur, a student of M. Auyezov Akzhar School-Boarding School-College of Education Department of Tarbatagatai district. The prize is a laptop.
I place – the project “Digital Firefighter: Early Fire Detection System” by Artur Zvonov, a student of Regional Specialized Lyceum School for Gifted Children in Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region. The prize is a tablet.
II place – the project “Bracelet for the Visually Impaired” by Kurmetkyzy Kausar, a student of Kurchum Gymnasium No. 3 of Education Department of Kurchum district. The prize is a smartphone.
III place – the project “Gamification of the Educational Platform “Oblivion Academy” by Gleb Guslyakov, Sergey Malakhov, Vasily Ushanov, students of School-Lyceum No. 1 of Education Department of Ridder town. The prize is headphones.
The winner of the Audience Choice Award is the project “Lego Minstorms EV3 Quadrocopter” by Koishybek Gasyrbek, a student of I.M. Astafyev Comprehensive Secondary School of Education Department of Shemonaikha district. The prize is a portable speaker.
