Results of ŞYĞYS ÖRKENІ-2025 Regional IT Hackathon for teachers of the region

East Kazakhstan region hosted a regional IT Hackathon for teachers of the region.

On April 24-25, 2025, Örken East Kazakhstan Regional Scientific and Methodological Center for Informatization and Education Development of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region held the regional IT Hackathon “ŞYĞYS ÖRKENІ-2025” for teachers of the region.

The event was aimed at developing teachers’ teamwork skills, critical thinking and creativity, as well as creating and integrating developed products into the learning process. Special attention was paid to enhance IT competencies of subject teachers, especially in light of the ongoing digital transformation in education.

For two days, 18 teams, consisting of 72 teachers from all over the region, worked on creating tools to support the Smart School Concept. Developed solutions aimed at the prevention of bullying, suicide and violence among minors, monitoring the emotional well-being of school students, improving school safety and student engagement in the educational process using modern digital technologies.

According to the results of the expert evaluation of the competitive works, the following winners were named.

I place - Puzzle team of Kurchum district.

II place - ULKEN NARYN team of Ulken-Naryn district.

III place - Favorite team of Samar district.

The nomination “Creative Solution” - the team of Regional Specialized School Lyceum for Children Gifted in Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region. 

The award ceremony will take place in May, 2025 as part of the 12th IT Festival “New Generation”.
