Meeting with members of the Council of Senators under the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan

Today, on April 18, 2025, heads of educational organizations of technical and vocational education, social partners of colleges met with the members of the Council of Senators under the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The meeting took place at Ust-Kamenogorsk Polytechnic College. It was chaired by Deputy Akim of East Kazakhstan region B.K. Bayakhmetov and dedicated to the Year of Skilled Trades.

During their visit to the college, the members of the Senators’ Council toured the college’s Energy Competence Center and IT Center, got familiar with its technical facilities, and interacted with students.

At the meeting with college directors and employers, the participants discussed the issues related to the development of the VET system in East Kazakhstan region within the framework of the Year of Skilled Trades, strengthening the strategic partnership of colleges with regional enterprises, and supporting the development of the energy and utility sectors of the region.

The college directors also brought up the existing challenges and suggestions.

The members of the Council of Senators highly appreciated the region’s efforts in training qualified personnel.
