Republican Forum “KEMELDIKKE BASTAR BES KADAM”

On April 11, 2025, a joint Republican Forum of Parents “KEMELDIKKE BASTAR BES KADAM” was organized and held by Örken East Kazakhstan Regional Scientific and Methodological Center for Informatization and Education Development of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region and BILIM-INNOVATION East Kazakhstan Regional Specialized Lyceum for Gifted Children of Ust-Kamenogorsk city.

The Forum addressed such topical issues as the responsibility of parents in raising children, the importance of school-family relationships, child psychology, and financial literacy.

Over 200 participants, including parents, representatives of educational organizations, psychologists, and public figures attended the event.

The goal of the event: to analyze the impact of the five pressing societal issues (drug trafficking, ludomania, domestic violence, vandalism and waste), which were flagged by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev as key threats to family values and youth development. Together with parents, the forum explored the ways to solve these problems, strengthen the role of the family institution and discuss effective methods for properly upbringing the younger generation.

During the forum, Deputy Akim of East Kazakhstan region Erbol Nurgaliyev, Kyrgyz scientist from Kyrgyzstan Kiyalbek Akmatov and President of the Bilim-Innovation International Foundation Darkhan Ote shared their interesting thoughts.

The plenary and breakout sessions also discussed such relevant issues as parental responsibility in raising children, the importance of school-family relationships, child psychology, and financial literacy. Students of the Lyceum presented their projects on strategies to combat the five ills of the society.
