Interregional workshop “WorldSkills: a workshop for enhancing educators’ professional skills”

On March 13, 2025, Vocational Education Center of East Kazakhstan region, jointly with Ust-Kamenogorsk Multidisciplinary Technological College and Methodological-Educational Association of Deputy Directors for Academic Affairs of Colleges, held an interregional workshop for deputy directors responsible for educational, industrial and educational work, educators of special disciplines and production training masters of colleges on the topic “WorldSkills: a workshop for enhancing educators’ professional skills”.

The key goal of the workshop was to enhance educators’ professional skills in line with the international WorldSkills standards, and to improve the quality of education by introducing modern methods and best practices into the educational process. The participants were also provided with new opportunities for professional development, including information on innovative teaching methods and recent changes in the technical and vocational education. 

The event served as a platform for interregional experience exchange, allowing educators to share their ideas and insights. During the workshop, the speakers answered the participants’ questions, highlighting how educators perfect their knowledge while preparing students for the competition, and discussed the factors why students win prizes.    

Following the workshop, the educators exchanged opinions and proposed a series of recommendations aimed at improving the quality of education.
