Unfortunately, our modern world increasingly sees people affected by the activities of pseudo-religious organizations. These groups, while hiding behind good intentions, actually destroy lives, manipulate minds and impose strange values. Especially dangerous are those people who use religion as a front for extremism and terrorism.
These are religious groups that disguise true values of religion, manipulate people’s minds and impose their own ideology. Their distinctive features include a drive for totalitarian control over individuals, social isolation, aggressively pushing their beliefs.
Extremist and terrorist organizations that use religious slogans to achieve their goals are particularly dangerous. They use violence and terror to intimidate the population and destabilize society.
Pseudo–religious organizations and extremism are not just abstract concepts, but a real threat to our society. They destroy families and sow hostility and violence. To effectively counter this evil, it is essential to understand how it operates.
To achieve this goal, Örken East Kazakhstan Regional Scientific and Methodological Center for Informatization and Education Development of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region, jointly with R.T. Nazarbekov, a theologian of the Center for Religious Studies of East Kazakhstan region, conducted an interactive webinar. This webinar discussed various aspects of this problem with students of the region covering everything from theoretical foundations to practical recommendations. The goal was to help students recognize pseudo-religious organizations, their methods, and how to protect themselves and their loved ones from their influence.
In conclusion, it is important to note that the problem of pseudo-religious organizations and extremism is a serious threat to society. Only by uniting and making joint efforts can we counter this evil and build a safe and harmonious society.
