Review of Birtutas Tarbiye Program’s implementation in Ulken-Naryn, Katon-Karagai, Zaisan districts

In December-January, 2024, Örken Regional Scientific and Methodological Center for Informatization and Education Development of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region analyzed the implementation of Reading School Project and Birtutas Tarbiye Program in Ulken-Naryn, Zaisan and Katon-Karagai districts.

The Centre visited 45 educational organizations of Ulken-Naryn, Katon-Karagai and Zaisan districts to examine their educational work.   

The study assessed the qualifications of the deputy headmasters responsible for educational work, their professional development training, annual work plans and the implementation of activities as part of Birtutas Tarbiye Program, and plans for joint work with relevant government agencies.

The study also involved analyzing lectures from the Parent Support Centers and the activities of various clubs such as “Danalyk mektebi”, “Safety lessons”, “Ushkyr oy alany”, “Balalar kitapkhanasy”, “Shabyt”, “Enbegi adal zhas oren”, “Kamkor”, “Smart bala”, as well as preventive measures for bullying, cyberbullying, violence, drug addiction, vaping, religious extremism, and vandalism. Methodological support was provided where needed.

Furthermore, the analysis covered the Reading School Projects of school libraries, district and intra–school work plans as part of the Children’s Library Program, the systematic filling out of library documentation, the professional qualifications of librarians, information and bibliographic work, the creation of bookcrossing corners, the material and technical base, replenishment of the library fund, and the conditions for the automation and modernization of libraries to meet current demands.
