Results of regional round of Republican School Olympiad in General Education Subjects for 9th to 11th graders

On 6-8 January, 2025, the regional round of the Republican School Olympiad in General Education Subjects for 9th to 11th graders took place simultaneously across the Republic.

The goals and objectives of the Olympiad were to create the necessary conditions for identifying gifted children in East Kazakhstan region, developing their intellectual and creative abilities, and preparing them for national and international Olympiads.

More than 500 schoolchildren of the region took part in the regional round - the winners of the district (city) rounds, as well as members of the Olympic Reserve of the region.

1. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University and Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Chemistry and Biology hosted the Olympiad.

The theoretical knowledge and practical skills of the participants were assessed by a qualified jury, comprising scientists, professors and doctors of sciences from leading universities of the region, teachers from Nazarbayev Intellectual School.

Following the results of the 2 rounds of the Olympiad, 248 participants became winners: 67 students received First Degree Diplomas, 81 students - Second Degree Diplomas, and 100 students - Third Degree Diplomas.

In accordance with the team rating, the following teams won.

The cup in the nomination “Best Olympic Team” and First Degree Diploma went to:

1) the team of BILIM-INNOVATION East Kazakhstan Regional Specialized Lyceum of Ust-Kamenogorsk city;

2) the Ust-Kamenogorsk city team.

The cup in the nomination “Best Olympic Team” and Second Degree Diploma went to:

1) the Zaisan district team;

2) the team of Regional Specialized School-Lyceum-Boarding School for Gifted Children.

The cup in the nomination “Best Olympic Team” and Third Degree Diploma went to:

1) the team of Zhambyl Regional Specialized School-Gymnasium-Boarding School for Gifted Children;

2) the team of Regional Specialized School Lyceum for Gifted Children in Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science;

3) the Kurchum district team.

The cup in the nomination “Best Rural School” and First Degree Diploma went to the team of Y. Altynsarin Secondary School of Glubokoe district.

The cup in the nomination “Best Rural School” and Second Degree Diploma went to the team of I. Astafyev Comprehensive Secondary School of Shemonaikha district.

The cup in the nomination “Best Rural School” and Third Degree Diploma went to the team of Kurchum Gymnasium No. 3 of Kurchum district.

The cup in the nomination “Best Rural Olympic team” and First Degree Diploma went to the Glubokoe district team.

The cup in the nomination “Best Rural Olympic team” and Second Degree Diploma went to the Kurchum district team.

The cup in the nomination “Best Rural Olympic team” and Third Degree Diploma went to the Ulan district team.
