Developing skilled trades: prospects and opportunities

On December 27, 2024, Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region, jointly with Entrepreneurship and Innovative Industrial Development Administration of East Kazakhstan region organized a meeting of college students with the representatives of Kazzinc LLP. The event took place at Kazzinc LLP, with the participation of Deputy Akim of East Kazakhstan region E.Zh. Nurgaliyev.

The meeting was held as part of the initiative of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan K. Tokayev, who declared 2025 as the Year of Skilled Trades.

The event was attended by A.P. Lazarev, Administrative Affairs Managing Director of Kazzinc LLP, young specialists of the plant, college graduates, as well as current college students.

In his address, Erbol Zholdaspekovich emphasized the role of skilled trades in the development and strengthening of the country's economy. He thanked the administration of Kazzinc for supporting the professional development of young people, emphasizing that such partnerships between educational institutions and enterprises build a strong foundation for training qualified specialists.  

The meeting covered the issues of boosting the prestige of skilled trades and strengthening cooperation between colleges and enterprises. Representatives of Kazzinc LLP and young college graduates shared their experiences and discussed the opportunities provided by the company.

Particular attention was paid to supporting the employment of college graduates, organizing practical trainings and implementing the dual education system. By the way, over 300 college students are currently completing practical training at Kazzinc LLP, including 84 students under the dual education system. 185 students are enrolled under the targeted state order.   

For college students, the event also included a tour of the museum of the Corporate University of Kazzinc LLP.
