Results of Teacher Training Program “Advanced Artificial Intelligence Technologies as a Tool for Modern Educators”

From November, 6 to December 20, 2024, Örken East Kazakhstan Regional Scientific and Methodological Center for Informatization and Education Development of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region completed a Training Program on “Advanced Artificial Intelligence Technologies as a Tool for Modern Educators”. It involved teachers of mathematics, physics, computer science and robotics of the region.

The novelty of the program is in its integrative approach, viewing AI not only as a tool but also as a factor that transforms the very concept of teaching. By implementing this approach, the course participants were able to develop data analysis skills and create educational models using AI capabilities. The tasks provided during the course had a practical focus, based on best practices from student and teacher regional competitions.

During the training course, the teachers significantly enhanced their knowledge and skills in AI technologies. For example, they learned how to use AI to create presentations, develop short-term lesson plans, tests, as well as to work with slides and analyze data. Moreover, the use of mobile applications and neural networks in the process of preparing educational materials was a key step towards education digitalization.

The program was developed by faculty members of D. Serikbayev EKTU, taking into account the current challenges of the educational process. It provided teachers with both theoretical insights into AI and hands-on experience with specific tools for optimizing educational activities. The program was officially approved by the Regional Expert Council of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region, ensuring its quality and relevance. This educational project not only attracted the attention of teachers, but also served as an important step towards the digital transformation of the educational process of the region.

A total of 73 teachers of educational organizations of the region participated in this training program and received certificates.
