Results of regional competition “Best Career Counselor”

On December 13, 2024, the awards ceremony honored the winners and prize-winners of the regional competition “Best Career Counselor”.  

The goal of the competition was to identify best career counselors from colleges, to uncover new approaches to career guidance, to popularize specialties, taking into account the regional labor market demands and to increase schoolchildren interest in choosing future professions.

19 career guidance specialists from educational organizations of the technical and vocational system of East Kazakhstan region took part in this competition. All of them demonstrated a high level of professionalism, creativity and innovative methods.

At the award ceremony, Alima Akylbek, Deputy Head of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region noted: “The work of a career counselor is crucial not only for individuals, but also for society as a whole, as the right profession choice is key to success and stability.”

According to the results of the regional competition, the following winners are:

I place - Elmira S. Slyamova, Deputy Director for Information Technologies of Abai East Kazakhstan College of Humanities;

II place - Zhanerke M. Orazbekova, a master of production training of Zaisan Technological College;

III place - Aiym D. Toktarova, Deputy Director for educational and production work of Higher IT College of D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University.

The winner and prize-winners of the competition received diplomas, valuable gifts and certificates from Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region.
