To establish a Competence Center in catering sector, funded by enterprises

On December 5, 2024, as part of implementing the “2025 Year of Skilled Trades” initiative, Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region, jointly with the Regional Chamber of Entrepreneurs, organized a meeting with social partners in order to establish a Competence Center in catering sector at the expense of local enterprises. Ust-Kamenogorsk Diversified Technological College hosted the event.  

The meeting was attended by college partners and representatives of food service companies.

The meeting discussed the issues of creating a Catering Competence Center across the areas of Cooking, Baking, Confectionery and Restaurant Service, funded by food service enterprises, as well as equipping the Center with the necessary modern equipment and further joint work on training skilled professionals.

Moreover, the social partners made a number of proposals for the training of qualified specialists. Following the meeting, it was agreed on the joint development of training programs, taking into account the offers of social partners.
