Types of tasks used to develop school students’ scientific literacy

Örken East Kazakhstan Regional Scientific and Methodological Center for Informatization and Education Development of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region, jointly with Gulzhaina A. Imashpayeva, a biology teacher, a teacher-researcher of the NIS of Chemistry and Biology of Ust-Kamenogorsk city, held a webinar for biology teachers of the region to explore various types of tasks for developing students’ natural science literacy.

The goal of the seminar: to analyze the ways of creating various tasks for the development of scientific literacy of school students within the framework of PISA 2025.

During the seminar, the speaker talked about the skills assessed by PISA tests for 15-year-old schoolchildren worldwide, the results of PISA 2022 and the necessary skills for student development, the link between the educational program and PISA question tests, the ways of creating and using tasks for the development of scientific literacy of students.
