Results of regional seminar on training teachers of computer science and robotics as part of the pilot project “Ozyq Urpaq”

Robotics is the future that allows learners to improve their skills right now, while developing both physical and mental abilities. It blends disciplines like mathematics, physics, computer science and logic, creativity and communication with others.

On October 30-31 and November 1, 2024, Örken East Kazakhstan Regional Scientific and Methodological Center for Informatization and Education Development of Education Administration of Kazakhstan region, jointly with the Robotek company, held a three-day seminar for 11 teachers of computer science and robotics of schools of the region: Regional Specialized IT School-Lyceum of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region, Secondary School No. 47, Sh. Ualikhanov School Lyceum No. 3, School Lyceum No. 34 of Ust-Kamenogorsk city as part of the pilot project “Ozyq Urpaq”.

Sanzhar Zh. Shalkarbekov, the founder and director of the School of Robotics “Robotek”, welcomed the participants of the seminar and outlined the training program for teachers. The program includes free robotics and programming classes, identifying talented children, and sharing advanced teaching methods and technologies. This program not only enhances schoolchildren’s technical skills and knowledge level, but also sparks their interest in science and technology, fostering a new generation of engineers and specialists in high tech field.

Fields like artificial intelligence and neural networks, which are closely related to robotics, are currently actively developing.  Students will learn the basics of mechanics and design in an entertaining way, developing their creative abilities and team work.

Upon completion of the training seminar, teachers will start conducting robotics classes in their schools. The schools will be provided with a free subscription to the platform Robotek.pro. A qualifying round for the republican round of the Robotics Festival will be held in May 2025.
