As part of the action plan of the autumn vacation school, Director of Örken East Kazakhstan Regional Scientific and Methodological Center for Informatization and Education Development of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region S. Kovalenko solemnly opened a Language Center for learning conversational Kazakh at Belousovka Secondary School No. 1 of Education Department of Glubokoe district.
The Center’s opening day was filled with an exciting program, where children and their parents immersed in the process of learning the Kazakh language.
The goal of the event was to create a comfortable and engaging environment to learn language easily and naturally. The leading teachers of the Center conducted master classes filled with communicative games and interactive tasks so that school students and parents could freely practice spoken language. Parents also received individual consultations on how to motivate their children to learn the Kazakh language and maintain that motivation throughout the school year, as well as how to use resources for independent learning at home.
A matter of special attention of visitors was the consultation corner, where they could learn about the best ways to work with educational materials and QR codes providing access to additional language resources.
These informal discussions became the basis for a warm conversation between the director of Örken Center and schoolchildren participating in the regional Guest Family Project: Pavel Osipov, Alexander Afanasyev, Victoria Zalesnykh and Kristina Melnikova. The students enthusiastically shared their experiences from their summer holidays spent in the host families of Katon-Karagai district and expressed their desire to participate in this Project again. Parents noticed that the children have returned with new words and language skills, enriching their knowledge of the Kazakh language and helping them immerse in the culture.
The opening of the Language Center was a significant event, creating new conditions for the natural learning of the Kazakh language, where knowledge is acquired not only through classroom lessons, but also through live communication.
