Regional debate tournament “Menin Elim – Kazakhstan!”

On October 29, 2024, Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region and Ust-Kamenogorsk Higher Polytechnic College held a debate tournament on the theme: “Menin Elim – Kazakhstan!” among college students, dedicated to the Republic Day, as part of the Ushkyr Oy Alany Project.

The opening ceremony of the tournament was attended by Daulet K. Nurken, an expert of the Project Office for Debate Movement Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, who thanked the students of colleges of East Kazakhstan for their contribution to the development of the debate movement in the country.

The regional debate tournament was held in the Kazakh language, and attended by 54 students from 10 colleges.

According to the results of the regional tournament, first place went to a student of Abai East Kazakhstan Humanitarian College Akbota Sharipkhanova and a student of Ust-Kamenogorsk Higher Medical College Kaliyeva Nazly, second place went to students of Higher College of Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University Arna Aidynova, Oktyabr Zhanbota, third place went to students of Abai East Kazakhstan Humanitarian College Zhumabai Marzhan, Alina Margarapova.    

Oktyabr Zhanbota, a student of Higher College of Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, won in the nomination “Best Speaker”.  Nazly Kaliyeva, a student of Ust-Kamenogorsk Higher Polytechnic College, won in the nomination “Best Judge”.

The winners who won I, II, III places were awarded diplomas of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region.
