Regional online seminar “Developing functional literacy of primary learners”

On September 28, 2024, a regional online seminar “Developing functional literacy of primary learners” was held for primary school teachers with the Kazakh language of instruction, in accordance with the autumn vacation plan of activities of Örken East Kazakhstan Regional Scientific and Methodological Center of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region.  

The goal of the seminar was to enhance the professional competence of teachers in developing functional literacy of primary learners, and to provide an opportunity for experience sharing.

During the seminar, the speakers focused on the methods for developing mathematical, natural science and reading literacy of primary learners and shared their experiences.

The speakers of the seminar:

- Primary school teachers M.D. Zhagykpanova, A.B. Bakytkanova, A.A. Makhmutova, Z.S. Amisultanova from Shokan Ualikhanov Lyceum No. 3 of Education Department of Ust-Kamenogorsk city presented effective methods aimed at developing and enhancing functional literacy of primary learners.

Following the seminar, the participants provided feedback and thanked the organizers.
