Firefighter and Rescuer

The professions of firefighter and rescuer are both vital and responsible. These professions attract brave and courageous people who are ready to risk their lives to save others. All year round, representatives of these professions stand ready to safeguard our lives, property, and natural resources, battling both natural and man-made disasters.

Firefighters and rescuers face challenges all four seasons of the year. Summer brings the hazards of swimming season and forest fires, while in winter there is a fight against snow drifts, icing, and the dangers of careless firework use, in autumn and spring there are flood control measures with varying levels of complexity, and evacuations of the population from dangerous areas. Rescue operations during earthquakes are of special importance.

The region has made significant investments to update the material and technical resources of these services, leading to qualitative improvement of firefighters and rescuers’ capabilities.
