“Attention Everyone!” Attention Alert

When an emergency or a threat arises, sirens, horns and other sound signals are turned on in the streets to draw people's attention and alert them to important information.

What should I do if I hear a siren?

To answer this question, Örken East Kazakhstan Regional Scientific and Methodological Center for Informatization and Education Development of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region, jointly with A. Baizhuminov, senior officer of Emergency Situations Department of East Kazakhstan region, conducted an interactive lesson where they considered the reasons for the signal and discussed possible actions to take after hearing it.

If you hear a siren sound, turn on the radio or TV at full volume and wait for the voice information. Do not panic and listen carefully to all recommendations. Remember to grab your documents and money.

If the signal source is outside, go to the nearest loudspeaker and listen to the information.

Keep your news sources turned on and use independent power sources. Do not take children out of school or kindergarten — their safety and protection are ensured.

Inform your neighbors about what is happening and stop panic and rumors
