Webinar “Psychological foundations of functional literacy of schoolchildren”

Örken East Kazakhstan Regional Scientific and Methodological Center for Informatization and Education Development of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region in cooperation with the Ust-Kamenogorsk city branch of Teaching Excellence Centre, represented by speaker V.S. Pak, held a webinar on the topic “Psychological foundations of functional literacy of schoolchildren”.

The webinar was aimed at expanding the professional competence of teachers in the field of developing functional literacy of students. The event delved into key psychological factors that contribute to the development of functional literacy of students.

The webinar program included:

• Analysis of psychological aspects affecting the development of functional literacy.
• Examining the impact of these factors on different types of functional literacy.
• Discussing the age-related and individual characteristics of learners in the context of developing functional literacy

Particular attention was paid to how the psychological characteristics of students impact their ability to acquire functional literacy.
