Subject section meeting for teachers of special and inclusive education as part of the August Conference

On August 15, 2024, Örken East Kazakhstan Regional Scientific and Methodological Center for Informatization and Education Development of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region, as part of the Regional August Conference of Educators “DIGITAL KAZAKHSTAN: EDUCATION IN A NEW REALITY” held a regional subject interactive session on “Applying Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technologies in Educational Process”.

This interactive session featured a subject section meeting for teachers of special and inclusive education focused on “Digital technologies for supporting the social and emotional development of pupils with special educational needs”. A total of 40 teachers of special, correctional, and general education institutions participated in the event.

The subject section meeting shared experiences on the application and use of digital technologies in teaching children with special educational needs of Dana Bala Center for Continuing and Inclusive Education of S. Amanzholov EKU, Asyl Miras Autism Center, as well as psychological and pedagogical support for pupils in general education organizations.

The Methodological Center carried out information and explanatory work regarding the application of normative legal acts: amendments and additions to Order No. 6 dated January 12, 2022 of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On approval of the rules of psychological and pedagogical support in educational organizations”, to Order No. 4 dated January 12, 2022 of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On approval of the Rules for assessing special educational needs” (Order No. 165 dated June 28, 2024 of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan); methodological recommendations on creating conditions for inclusive education in educational institutions, approved by Order No. 178 dated July 12, 2024 of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The section meeting involved discussions around the instructional and methodological letter on “The features of organizing the educational process in secondary schools of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the 2024-2025 academic year” and adopted recommendations.

Following the results of the subject section meeting, tasks were set and recommendations were provided for the new academic year.
