A psychological, medical and pedagogical consultation centre opens in Ust-Kamenogorsk city

On the eve of a wonderful holiday – International Children's Day, the region witnessed a long-awaited event - the opening of the 4th psychological, medical and pedagogical consultation. This is an institution for identification of the special needs of children and determination of their further educational route.

Today, to ensure equal access to educational services for all 11,000 children with special educational needs, there are 9 psychological and pedagogical correction rooms, a Rehabilitation Center and Asyl Miras Autism Center in the region.

There are 12 special educational institutions (7 general education, 5 preschool), 55 inclusion support rooms (3 preschool) for training children requiring special programs. There are 1,500 special and inclusive grades and groups in secondary schools.

The opening of another consultation centre will help eliminate the waiting list for examination and thus, fulfill the children’s right to receive timely psychological and pedagogical support in special educational, healthcare and social protection institutions!
