“Meiyrim” initiative

Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region, in line with the instructions of the Head of State and Akim of East Kazakhstan region, has revived the “Meiyrim” initiative, a campaign dedicated to supporting orphans and children left without parental care, through corporate mentoring.

To date, 114 children have been paired with mentors represented by the collectives of regional administrations, departments, education departments, schools and colleges. Over $16 million has been transferred to the accounts of children for the past 5 months. The available materials and guidelines for implementing the Meiyrim campaign have been shared with colleagues from other regions to organize similar programs.
