Results of East Kazakhstan region’s participation in Republican round of Scientific and Mathematical Olympiad for 7th to 8th graders

On 20-22 May, 2024, Astana city hosted the Republican Scientific and Mathematical Olympiad for 7th to 8th graders. Our region was represented by 12 schoolchildren-the winners of the regional round of the Olympiad.

The goal of the Olympiad was to foster learners’ interest in in–depth learning of subjects of Science and Mathematics, enhance the system of training of juniors for high-level Olympiads and build an Olympic reserve.

Gifted schoolchildren of the region - from grade 7 to 8 showed their knowledge in the following subjects: mathematics, physics, biology, geography, chemistry and computer science.

According to the results of the Republican Olympiad, Sailaubek Nurislam (biology), an 8th grader of BILIM-INNOVATION Lyceum for Gifted Children of Ust-Kamenogorsk city, was awarded a gold medal and First Degree Diploma.

A silver medal and Second Degree Diploma went to a 7th grader of BILIM-INNOVATION Lyceum for Gifted Children of Ust-Kamenogorsk city, Essimkhan Bekzat (computer science).  

A bronze medal and Third Degree Diploma went to:

Jaksenev Zakir - a 7th grader of Regional Specialized Lyceum School for Children Gifted in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science (mathematics);

Oralgazy Alidar - a 7th grader of BILIM-INNOVATION Lyceum for Gifted Children of Ust-Kamenogorsk city (physics);

Kyzyrbekov Tamerlan – an 8th grader of BILIM-INNOVATION Lyceum for Gifted Children of Ust-Kamenogorsk city (physics);

Ainabekov Denis - 7th grader of BILIM-INNOVATION Lyceum for Gifted Children of Ust-Kamenogorsk city (chemistry);

Kaiyrgazin Kurmet - an 8th grader of BILIM-INNOVATION Lyceum for Gifted Children of Ust-Kamenogorsk city (chemistry).

The Diploma of Daryn Republican Scientific and Practical Center of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan was awarded to a 7th grader of BILIM-INNOVATION Lyceum for Gifted Children of Ust-Kamenogorsk city, Nogaibayev Temirshyn (geography).

According to the results of the Olympiad, the team of East Kazakhstan region won the third team place.
