XI Republican Scientific and Practical Conference
On May 16-17, 2024, Örken East Kazakhstan Regional Scientific and Methodological Center for Informatization and Education Development of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region, jointly with the Public Foundation of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Step by Step”, held the XI Republican Scientific and Practical Conference entitled “Aspects of Quality Preschool Education and Training: Continuous Professional Development and Innovative Initiatives”. The Conference aimed to shape the professional image of educators in the pre-school education system; provide methodological support for using advanced methods and techniques of the Step by Step technology; and boost professional development and innovative initiatives.
The conference was attended by methodologists from regional centers and education departments, heads and educators of preschool organizations from Shymkent city, Astana city, Almaty city, Mangystau region, Aktobe region, South Kazakhstan region, West Kazakhstan region, Abai region, East Kazakhstan region (a total of 150 participants).
The plenary session of the conference was solemnly opened by the Head of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region Innes A. Chernysheva who welcomed the participants of the event.
Then, Bakhytgul S. Nogaibayeva, Candidate of Pedagogical Science, Director of the Public Foundation of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Step by Step”, a member of the International Association of the Netherlands (ISSA) delivered the keynote address.
During the conference, a mentor of the Public Foundation “Step by Step” Maira K. Tasbulatova conducted a training session, and a second year Master of Pedagogy of Preschool Education and Training Department of O. Zhanibekov South Kazakhstan Pedagogical University Aliya N. Alpys presented a report on “Top didarynyn taktasy” balalardyn ozin-ozi baskaru dagdysyn damytu kuraly”.
At the conference, Aigul K. Kyrykbayeva, a methodologist of Örken East Kazakhstan Regional Scientific and Methodological Center for Informatization and Education Development of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region, presented an overview of the work on mastering new program content of preschool education in East Kazakhstan region.
The conference continued with a presentation by Asima Gabitova, a third year student of Pedagogical Education and Management Department of Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University on “Tanymdyk oiyndardy “Tai-tai” technologiyasyna saikes koldanu arkyly balanyn akyl-oiyn sapaly damytu”.
At the conference, Zhanar K. Karimova, Director of Karlygash Kindergarten-Nursery No.106 of Education Department of Ust-Kamenogorsk city, Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region, shared her experience of working in the kindergarten on the topic “Mektepke deiyngi tarbiye men okytuda “Step by Step” technologiyasyn bilim beru sapasyn arttyru kuraly retinde koldanudyn tiymdiligi”.
The second part of the conference was organized at various kindergartens of Ust-Kamenogorsk city: Balapan Kindergarten No. 1, Arai Kindergarten No. 5, Rakhat Kindergarten No. 15, Karlygash Kindergarten No. 106, which hosted practical workshops. The guests of the conference participated in various master classes, observed practical examples of working with parents, witnessed integrated organized activities at active developmental centers and shared experiences on organizing spaces in kindergartens’ hallways. Children from kindergartens showed joint creative projects with their parents.
Following the workshops, the participants enjoyed an excursion to the Regional Museum of Local Lore, where the guests were introduced to the historical exhibits, and learned about the history of our great country.
During the feedback session, recommendations were adopted and the participants of the meeting expressed gratitude to the organizers and speakers, noting the methodological literacy and content of the conference.
Summing up the results of the conference, Director of the Public Foundation “Step by Step” of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Candidate of Pedagogical Science, a member of the International Association of the Netherlands (ISSA) Bakhytgul S. Nogaibayeva highlighted the high level of the conference and thanked the leadership of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region for their support in organizing the event.
