Regional Charity WORKSHOP on the topic “Using alternative methods and techniques in correctional-developmental work and supporting children with special educational needs”

On May 17, 2024, Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region, jointly with S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University under the project “Competence Center for Psychological-Pedagogical Training and Methodological-Technological Support of Children with Special Educational Needs” held a regional charity WORKSHOP on the topic “Using alternative methods and techniques in correctional-developmental work and supporting children with special educational needs”. The event took place at the university as part of implementing the Roadmap of East Kazakhstan region on the National Report “Ensuring Quality Education to All” for 2024-2029.  

More than 400 teachers of special, general education organizations of the region participated in the event.  

During the WORKSHOP, the participants were demonstrated the experience of training pedagogical personnel in special pedagogy, participated in master classes, and explored an exhibition showcasing author's techniques, teaching aids and technological tools for working with children with disabilities.

The event was followed by an excursion to the laboratory of Dana Bala Scientific and Innovative Education Centre, with feedback where the participants received answers to their questions and thanked the organizers, noting the importance of the event.

The funds raised will be used to manufacture a verticalizer for children with musculoskeletal disorders. The device will be donated to DEMEY Rehabilitation and Correction Center.
