Results of Republican Chemistry and Biology Olympiad for 7th to 8th graders

On 13-15 May, 2024, gifted schoolchildren of East Kazakhstan region participated in the Republican Chemistry and Biology Olympiad for 7th to 8th graders in Astana city.

The Olympiad was hosted by Astana Daryny Center for Identification and Support of Talented Children and Youth of Akimat of Astana city in order to boost schoolchildren’s interest in studying chemistry and biology, as well as to perfect the system of preparing participants at a high level, and develop the Olympic Reserve.

The Olympiad consisted of two rounds: theoretical and practical.

According to the results of the Olympiad, 6 participants became winners.

Ainabekov Denis (chemistry), a 7th grader of BILIM-INNOVATION Lyceum for Gifted Children of Ust-Kamenogorsk city, was awarded a gold medal and First Degree Diploma.

A silver medal and Second Degree Diploma were awarded to an 8th grader of BILIM-INNOVATION Lyceum for Gifted Children of Ust-Kamenogorsk city Kabdykarim Ali (biology).  

A bronze medal and Third Degree Diploma were awarded to:

- Kaiyrgazin Kurmet - a 7th grader of BILIM-INNOVATION Lyceum for Gifted Children of Ust-Kamenogorsk city (chemistry);

- Serikuli Nurali - a 7th grader of BILIM-INNOVATION Lyceum for Gifted Children of Ust-Kamenogorsk city (biology);

- Sembayev Maksat - a 7th grader of BILIM-INNOVATION Lyceum for Gifted Children of Ust-Kamenogorsk city (biology);

- Sailaubek Nurislam - an 8th grader of BILIM-INNOVATION Lyceum for Gifted Children of Ust-Kamenogorsk city (biology).

The diploma of Astana Daryny Center for Identification and Support of Talented Children and Youth was awarded to a 7th grader of BILIM-INNOVATION Lyceum for Gifted Children of Ust-Kamenogorsk city Mukazhanov Arlan (chemistry).

According to the results of the Republican Olympiad, the team of schoolchildren of East Kazakhstan region won the second team place in the nomination “Best Olympic Team – 2024”.
