Regional workshop presentation “World experience of students’ professional self-determination: case discussions, reflection and conclusions”

On April 11, 2024, Örken East Kazakhstan Regional Scientific and Methodological Center for Informatization and Education Development of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region, jointly with the Inclusive Education Center at Y. Altynsarin National Academy of Science held a regional workshop presentation entitled “World experience of students’ professional self-determination: case discussions, reflection and conclusions”. The event was attended by deputy headmasters, teachers of vocational guidance from secondary schools, teachers of special education institutions, and lecturers of universities.          

In all, more than 150 people participated in the event.

During the workshop presentation, the director of the Inclusive Education Center under Y. Altynsarin National Academy of Science S.K. Ismagulova and a senior researcher G.A. Nogaibayeva, introduced educators to the world experience of the career guidance system within the framework of piloting a systemic innovative model for students’ professional orientation, taking into account their individual abilities and special needs, sharing their own professional experiences.

 The participants emphasized the importance of the event. Recommendations were provided based on the results of the workshop. Its results will be used in developing organizational and methodological foundations to ensure inclusivity in students’ professional orientation across schools of the region.
