Regional competition “Best Music Teacher Award – 2024”

On March 29, 2024, Örken East Kazakhstan Regional Scientific and Methodological Center for Informatization and Education Development of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region held a regional competition “Best Music Teacher Award – 2024”. The event was hosted by Children's Music School No. 1 of Education Department of Ust-Kamenogorsk city.

The goal of the competition was to elevate the status of music teachers and stimulate creatively working music teachers with notable achievements in their professional activities, as well as to identify and generalize innovative pedagogical experiences.

The competition was attended by teachers of music schools (music teachers of other additional education organizations) with a teaching experience of at least 3 years.

The competition consisted of 2 rounds: Round 1 - district (city), Round 2 - regional. The regional round included 2 sections: “My lesson” - a lesson excerpt and “Masterclass” - a masterclass on a topic chosen by each participant.

The Competition Commission evaluated and analyzed the materials and lessons, naming the winners and prize–winners in piano, string instruments, Kazakh folk instruments, solo and ensemble singing (pop vocals), music theory (solfeggio), choreographic directions:

1 - Grand Prix, 3 - First Degree Diplomas, 3 - Second Degree Diplomas, 3 - Third Degree Diplomas.

3 teachers were awarded diplomas in the nominations “Qualified teacher”, “Active teacher” and “Creative teacher”.

In the system of additional education of the regional competition “Best Music Teacher Award – 2024”, creatively working teachers play a crucial role in sharing innovative pedagogical experiences in children’s upbringing, identifying advanced thinkers, as well as creative, active and talented children.
