SEMINAR “HEALTHY-EATING SCHOOL”

On February 1, 2023, a seminar on the topic: “Healthy-Eating School” was held at Secondary School No. 39 of Education Department of Ust-Kamenogorsk city of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region.

The seminar was attended by social educators from schools of Ust-Kamenogorsk city, deputy principals and primary school teachers.

During the seminar, the head of a department of Almaty City Scientific and Methodological Center for New Technologies in Education, project coordinator Tatyana V. Ezhova and her team presented the program and shared their experience. Tatyana V. Ezhova mentioned that the program was developed in collaboration with the City Scientific and Methodological Center for New Technologies in Education of Education Administration of Almaty city and the Kazakh Academy of Nutrition, and Nestle company, and that the educational program “Healthy-Eating School” is part of the global initiative “Nestle. Healthy children.”

The following issues were addressed during the seminar:

1. Establishing a healthy lifestyle culture as a current task of a modern school;
2. Scientific and methodological foundations of the program;
3. Program structure and main content components;
4. Program implementation methods;
5. Digital platform of the program.

The speakers highlighted that educational initiatives under this program aim at cultivating healthy eating habits since healthy food is a vital factor determining the health of all population groups, especially children and adolescents.

The project aroused great interest among the participants of the seminar, the listeners expressed gratitude to the seminar leaders for providing important methodological support.
