Results of the I Republican Olympiad for learners of rural schools in Natural Sciences and Mathematics

On 15-18 January, 2024, schoolchildren of East Kazakhstan region participated in the I Republican Olympiad for learners of rural schools in Natural Sciences and Mathematics. It took place in Astana city.

The goal of the Olympiad was to create optimal conditions for identifying, developing and supporting the talents and abilities of rural school learners, to select the most academically capable children, and to further their intellectual development and professional orientation.

The Olympiad included three rounds: initial, qualifying and republican. At the final republican round, the winners of the qualifying round represented our region.

The Olympiad consisted of two rounds: theoretical and practical.

According to the results of the Olympiad, our region won 8 medals.

First Degree Diplomas and gold medals went to:

Vladislav Chugunov, a 9th grader of Y. Altynsarin Glubokoe Secondary School of Glubokoe district (biology);

Arman Bagdanov, an 11th grader of Kurchum Gymnasium No. 3 of Kurchum district (biology).

Second Degree Diplomas and silver medals went to:

Adilbekkyzy Dilnaz, a 9th grader of K. Kudageldinov Secondary School of Ulan district (geography);

Ilya Petrov, a 10th grader of Verkh-Berezovka Secondary School of Glubokoe district (computer science);

Vladislav Lisachenko, a 9th grader of I. Astafyev Secondary School of Shemonaikha district (mathematics).

Third Degree Diplomas and bronze medals went to:

Zhumabek Marzhan, a 10th grader of S. Amanzholov Secondary School of Ulan district (biology).

Zhanerke Shegenova, a 9th grader of Shilikty Secondary School of Zaisan district (biology);

Kazhykan Dana, an 11th grader of Kazakhstan Secondary School of Zaisan district (biology).  

The Diploma of Daryn Republican Scientific and Practical Center of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan was awarded to a 10th grader of Zhetiaral School-Kindergarten Complex of Tarbagatai district Erkenur Baidullayeva (mathematics).

The grant of S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University was awarded to Arman Bagdanov, an 11th grader of Kurchum Gymnasium No. 3 of Kurchum district.  

The grant of Astana International University was awarded to Kazhykan Dana, an 11th grader of Kazakhstan Secondary School of Zaisan district.

According to the results of the I Republican Olympiad for learners of rural schools in Natural Sciences and Mathematics, the team of East Kazakhstan region won the first team place in the nomination “Best Olympic Team”.
