ALTYN TUGYR Mathematical Olympiad for Primary School Teachers

On January 5, 2024, Örken East Kazakhstan Regional Scientific and Methodological Center for Informatization and Education Development of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region held the regional round of ALTYN TUGYR Mathematical Olympiad for Primary School Teachers, hereinafter referred to as the Olympiad. It took place at Sh. Ualikhanov Lyceum School No. 3 of Education Department of Ust-Kamenogorsk city.

The goal of the Olympiad was to enhance the desire of primary school teachers to achieve high results in their professional activities, develop their creative potential and pedagogical skills of teachers, and raise the status of the teaching profession.

At the Olympiad, 134 primary school teachers from district, city and regional schools performed logical tasks in mathematics and demonstrated their knowledge.

In accordance with the rules of the Mathematical Olympiad, the participants had an hour and a half to complete tasks consisting of 3 parts.

Following the results of the Olympiad tasks, the Competition Commission named and awarded I, II, III-Degree Diplomas, and certificates to all participants of the Olympiad.

As part of the event, Abzal A. Nurseitov, a specialist of ZERDELI Intellectual School demonstrated teachers problem-solving methods in mathematics.

  3. Natalia G. Borisova - Gymnasium School No. 34 of Education Department of Ust-Kamenogorsk city of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region;
  4. Olga Yu. Khudyakova - Secondary School No. 11 of Altai town of Education Department of Altai district of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region;
  5. Svetlana A. Gorbacheva - Belousovka Primary School-Kindergarten Complex of Education Department of Glubokoe district of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region;
  6. Irina M. Lagutina –Valeological Specialized School-Complex for Gifted Children of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region;
  7. Akkerbez S. Nurgaliyeva - Saryterek Secondary School of Education Department of Zaisan district of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region;
  8. Saule T. Kaliyeva - Birlik Basic Secondary School of Education Department of Kurchum district of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region

They received a pass to the Republican Altyn Tugyr Olympiad.

The Olympiad gave a new inspiration to the teachers and the participants suggested holding similar events in the future.
