Current issues in school management

On January 4, 2024, Örken East Kazakhstan Regional Scientific and Methodological Center for Informatization and Education Development of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region held an offline seminar for school headmasters with 1-3 years of work experience on the topic “Current issues in school management”.

The goal of the seminar is to modernize the professional skills of young school leaders staff in school management, to enhance them in the process of continuing education.

During the event, the speakers discussed innovative approaches to managing secondary education organizations, improving scientific and methodological support, and the personal qualities of a leader.

Zh. Sagandykova, Deputy Head of Örken East Kazakhstan Regional Scientific and Methodological Center for Informatization and Education Development of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region noted the importance of implementing a dialogue platform within the framework of methodological leadership and educational organization.

In the plenary part of the seminar, G.O. Berekpolova, a senior lecturer of the Public Administration Academy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan on East Kazakhstan region discussed “Creating a safe environment: school and family partnership” and G.B. Auganbayeva, headmaster of Secondary School No. 46 of Education Department of Ust-Kamenogorsk city of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region demonstrated a model of a successful school.

In the practical part, experienced school leaders showed the seminar participants their best practices on the topics:

- M. K. Karibayeva, headmaster of Belousovka Secondary School No. 1 of Glubokoe district of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region, talked about educational management in school leadership;  

- A.M. Taimova, headmaster of Secondary School No. 35 of Education Department of Ust-Kamenogorsk city of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region, focused on the legal foundations of school management;

- A.Ch. Kadirova, headmaster of Secondary School No. 49 of Education Department of Ust-Kamenogorsk city of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region, talked about the legal basics of school relationships and personnel management;

- S.T. Nurkanova, headmaster of School Gymnasium No. 10 of Education Department of Ust-Kamenogorsk city of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region, presented the school development program as a condition for developing a competitive personality in the modern educational space;  

- G.B. Auganbayeva, headmaster of Secondary School No. 46 of Education Department of Ust-Kamenogorsk city of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region, shared her experience in the tariffication of pedagogical and managerial staff and the procedure for determining payment for managerial staff;

- N.E. Iskanova, headmaster of Amanzholov Secondary School of Education Department of Ulan district of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region, focused on licensing and state certification of educational organizations.

The seminar participants noted the importance, relevance and practical significance of this seminar.
