On holding a working meeting on measles prevention

Today, on January 4, 2024, Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region held a working meeting for the heads and medical staff of public and private kindergartens of Ust-Kamenogorsk city to discuss measles prevention.

The meeting was attended by the head of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region I.A. Chernysheva, the head of Healthcare Administration of East Kazakhstan region T.Kh. Zhigitayev, the head of Sanitary and Epidemiological Control Department of East Kazakhstan region K.A. Turdiyev, the head of Sanitary and Epidemiological Control Department of Ust-Kamenogorsk city S.T. Bazarkhanova, the head of Education Department of Ust-Kamenogorsk city S.B. Alaguzova.

During the meeting, the deputy head of Sanitary and Epidemiological Control Department of East Kazakhstan region, S.E. Slyamgazina briefed the participants of the meeting on the epidemiological situation regarding measles in the region, and also provided detailed explanations about the consequences of the disease and preventive measures.

The directors and medical staff received answers to the questions on ensuring the optimal coverage of children with measles vaccinations, as well as strengthening awareness-raising among parents regarding the importance of immunization in the disease prevention.
