Regional Video Competition “School Book Crossing: Learning Together” as part of Reading School Project

On December 28, 2023, Örken East Kazakhstan Regional Scientific and Methodological Center for Informatization and Education Development of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region held a regional video competition “School Book Crossing: Learning Together” as part of Reading School Project.

The goal of the competition was to engage schoolchildren in reading as a primary form of cognitive activity, to popularize school book crossing as a form of leisure activity, and draw learners’ attention to books by increasing their interest in reading with the help of modern interactive approaches.

The competition was attended by 10 school librarians of education organizations of the region, the winners of the district and city rounds.

The Commission evaluated the materials and named the winners of the regional video competition “School Book Crossing: Learning Together”, who were awarded Diplomas from Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region:

First Degree Diploma - Svetlana S. Ovsyannikova, library manager of Secondary School No. 6 of Altai town of Education Department of Altai district of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region;

Second Degree Diploma - Arai M. Izetova, a classroom teacher of the 3rd grade of M. Auezov Secondary School of Education Department of Zaisan district of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region;

Third Degree Diploma - Aisulu I. Tantakova, library manager of Kurchum Gymnasium No. 3 of Education Department of Kurchum district of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region;

Third Degree Diploma - Olga T. Oblezova, library manager of Secondary School No. 5 of Ridder town of Education Department of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region.
