Regional Olympiad in “History of Kazakhstan” among students of colleges of East Kazakhstan region

On December 7, 2023, the Regional Olympiad in “History of Kazakhstan” among students of colleges of East Kazakhstan region took place at Higher College of S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, in accordance with the action plan of the Regional Methodical Association of Educators of Social Disciplines.

The goal of the Olympiad was to develop interest in studying the history of Kazakhstan, humanities, as well as to identify and stimulate the scientific-research and educational-cognitive activities of students.

The Olympiad consisted of 2 rounds involving 25 students. The first round was held in the form of testing, after which 13 students advanced to the second round. In the second round students presented works on such topics as “The historical image of the Great Steppe”, “The historical path of the national intelligentsia”, “The historical and cultural heritage of the region”, “The history of the social and legal structure of the Kazakhs”.

According to the results of two rounds, the winners are:

І place - Erkem S. Saparkhanova (Higher College of Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University);

ІІ place - Dias A. Ainabek (Higher College of the Kazakh-American Free University), Tolganai S. Sergali (Higher College of Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University);

ІІІ place - Anna P. Troeglazova (Higher College of the Kazakh-American Free University); Zhangir A. Sabzhanov, Aulet M. Serikbol (Higher IT College of D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University).
