Results of the XVI International Space Research Competitions “Discovering the World of Science”

On May 22, 2020, the Republican Scientific and Practical Center Daryn of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the first time held online the XVІ International Scientific Space Research Competitions “Discovering the World of Science” (hereinafter - Competitions).

Competitions are aimed at stimulating the scientific and research abilities of schoolchildren in applied research in astronautics, space technology infrastructure and modeling, astrophysics.

Young researchers presented their projects online from the cities of the Republic, as well as from neighboring countries (Russia, Kyrgyzstan), answered the jury’s questions.

109 projects were presented by 143 participants. 10 schoolchildren - winners and prize-winners of the regional, republican rounds of scientific projects participated from our region.

Following the outcomes of the competition, 6 students became winners and were awarded:

I degree diplomas:

- Erkin Samgar, Kazakh School-Gymnasium No. 10, Ayagoz district;

- Koyev Ansar, Sh. Ualikhanov Zhas Ulan Specialized Boy's Boarding School for Gifted Children, Semey city;

- Roman Ponomaryev, Sh. Ualikhanov Zhas Ulan Specialized Boy's Boarding School for Gifted Children, Semey city;

II degree diplomas:

- Kabdulsharіpova Balnur, Togas Batyr Secondary School, Tarbagatai district.

III degree diplomas:

- Zemerova Darya, School-Lyceum of Altai town;

- Shpak Amina, School-Lyceum of Altai town.
